We are an experienced founder team with deep sector understanding, as well as strong understanding of how to scale a startup, having built Insurtech unicorn wefox (peak valuation of €4.5bn) before. You will get the opportunity to join a fast-scaling startup as one of the first employees and significantly shape the future of the company and the insurance industry.
Your Impact
As UX/UI Designer at Afori, you will own the end-to-end user experience for our AI-powered product that simplify's the brokers every day work. You will turn complex processes, insurance context, and AI-driven automations into simple, elegant, intuitive user journeys.
Your work will directly shape how thousands of insurance professionals experience AI in their daily workflows; from Outlook-based inbox workflows to deep operational processes and agentic task flows.
This is a role for someone who loves transforming messy workflows into beautiful clarity and designing products that customers immediately understand and love.
Key responsibilities
- User Experience Ownership: Lead the UX/UI across our core product, from research to design to launch.
- Interface Design: Create simple, beautiful, intuitive designs for complex insurance workflows (email classification, automation flows, task orchestration, document insights, etc.).
- User Research: Run interviews, shadow brokers, and test prototypes with real users to validate assumptions early and often.
- Design for AI: Craft interfaces that explain AI decisions, enable trust, and empower brokers to work seamlessly with agentic workflows.
- Rapid Prototyping: Develop prototypes (low- and high-fidelity) to test ideas quickly with customers and engineering.
- Design System Creation: Build and maintain our first design system to ensure consistency, simplicity, and speed.
- Shipping Mindset: Work end-to-end with engineering to ensure implementation quality and iterate fast after launch.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years UX/UI design experience in SaaS, B2B, or workflow tools
- Strong portfolio focused on simplifying complex workflows
- Fluency in Figma and modern design workflows
- Experience with user research and iterative design
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Nice to have:
- Experience with AI products or automation tools
- Fintech / Insurtech / CRM design background
- Basic frontend understanding (React)
- Able to speak German
- Collaborate with a small team of top-tier engineers, startup specialists, and industry veterans
