Do you want to shape the future of our digital backbone while bridging commercial, tech and IT teams to deliver real business impact?
As Senior Manager of strategic analytics projects, you’ll join the Strategy & Transformation Team and be at the heart of Telenor Norway’s strategic agenda. Other than you might believe you will not run a PMO but instead be a sparring partner to teams across Telenor Norway on their ambitions, facilitate dependency resolution and resource allocation conflicts. You will lead high-priority, cross-functional strategic initiatives with high executive visibility. You will also contribute to shaping the holistic corporate strategy and accelerating our company-wide transformation.
This means that you will often work with evolving priorities, imperfect information and multiple stakeholders – and still be expected to create clarity, show ownership and drive progress. The role involves combining strategic problem solving with very hands-on analysis and production
This is a unique opportunity to make tangible impact in a fast-evolving telecom landscape, truly get to know Telenor Norway across the board, and open doors for future growth within the wider Telenor Group.
What will you be doing?
Project Leadership & Change management
- Act as a sparring partner, sounding board and challenger for the ambitions of commercial and technical areas alike
- Evolve the vision of a simplified, more efficient and digitized Telenor Norway
- Ensure execution across cross multiple value streams and functions (commercial, tech, IT, finance, HR) to resolve dependencies and unblock delivery while managing trade-offs to maximize business impact in line with our corporate strategy
- Influence senior stakeholders without direct line authority and drive behaviour change through trust, data and strong narratives.
- Take on nascent CEO-level priorities and translate them into concrete project proposals.
- Structure complex problems into clear work packages, defining storyline and sources of insight and prepare high-quality decision material for the executive board and steering groups.
- Own hands-on analysis, combining quantitative modelling with qualitative insight to identify the root causes, opportunity size and strategic implications
- Build and own business cases, profitability models and scenario analyses
- Translate data and insights into clear recommendations
- Automate repetitive tasks in your workflows
The Strategy & Transformation team is a group of experienced transformation leaders working across Telenor Norway’s horizontal and vertical value streams. We are responsible for defining and delivering the most critical strategic initiatives - always aligned with CEO-level priorities. Each team member drives key initiatives end-to-end, with clear ownership and close collaboration with leaders across the business.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is strategic-minded, analytical and hands-on and who thrives with a wide scope across the entire business. You are a strong problem solver, have ownership, drive and the desire to move and learn quickly, a passion for analytics and the experience and ability to underpin your recommendations through sound quantitative and qualitative analysis.
We believe you’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
- A track record of performance, ownership and drive
- Strong conceptual and structured problem solving
- A sharp business sense understanding business models, value drivers and P&L dynamics across fixed and mobile products
- Experience with and a passion for uncovering and conveying insights modelling business cases, structuring data, and crafting storylines
- A proactive mindset toward automating and improving your own workflows, using tools and scripting where relevant to increase efficiency and analytical depth
- The resilience and patience required to drive transformation in a large, complex organisation – balancing ambition with realism
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- The ability to conduct your own analysis in excel and other tools and produce executive level board presentations
- Fluency in Norwegian
- Sharpened project leader toolbox from a top-tier management consulting firm, investment banking or equivalent experience
- A high-performance environment with direct exposure to Telenor Norway’s executive team.
- The role offers a steep learning curve on the operational reality of a large telco across tech, IT and commercial and direct exposure to what can be a next step within Telenor
- Working on the most complex and challenging problems Telenor Norway is facing
- The opportunity to shape the digital future of a company that plays a vital role in Norwegian society.
- A strong culture of security, social responsibility and long-term thinking.
- Collaboration with top experts in areas like AI, cybersecurity, networks and product innovation as well as with our commercial areas in consumer, business and wholesale
- Possibility to grow within the wider Telenor Group across geographies and business areas.
- Flexible hybrid working model with modern offices at Fornebu featuring excellent facilities (restaurants, gym, and close to the Oslo fjord), plus access to company cabins for relaxation.
- Competitive salary, employee stock program and excellent pension scheme.
- Vacation during Christmas and Easter in addition to the regular 5 weeks’ vacation
- Application deadline: 22 December 2025
