Lead Full Stack Developer


Amsterdam | Permanent, full-time | Up to 95k plus benefits


If you’ve been craving a role where you can actually build something new (not just maintain someone else’s “temporarily” messy codebase from 2017), this could be for you.

You’ll join a sustainable energy business with a very practical mission: reducing food waste. They already have a product suite in the wild. Now they want to add brand new products on top of it, built greenfield, aimed at driving real traction and measurable impact.

You’ll be the lead full stack developer, reporting directly to the CTO. That means proper influence. Not just on what gets built, but how it gets built.


What you’ll be doing

  • Taking greenfield product ideas from “this could work” to “people are using it and it’s growing”.
  • Designing and building full stack features end to end, with an eye on reliability, performance, and shipping cadence.
  • Making smart technical choices that help the product move quickly now, without setting traps for later.
  • Working closely with the CTO and the wider team to shape priorities, test assumptions, and learn fast.
  • Bringing a healthy engineering culture with you: clean delivery, sensible standards, and pragmatic decision-making.


What will make you a good fit

  • You’re genuinely full stack. You can go from backend logic and APIs to front-end user experience without flapping.
  • You’ve built and shipped new products before, or you’ve been a key part of a team that did.
  • You care about outcomes. You like metrics, feedback loops, and making changes that move the needle.
  • You can lead without being loud about it. Calm ownership, clear communication, and good judgement.
  • You’re comfortable with modern engineering practices (version control, automated testing, CI/CD, decent docs). Nothing fancy, just grown-up.
