Position Summary
The College of Engineering in Abu Dhabi University is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the position of Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Information Technology. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, conduct high-quality research, supervise student projects, and contribute to departmental and institutional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Computer Science and Information Technology, including core and elective subjects (e.g., programming, networking, databases, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies).
- Develop and revise course materials, syllabi, and assessments aligned with accreditation standards and program outcomes.
- Engage in scholarly research leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Supervise student capstone projects, internships, and independent studies.
- Participate in curriculum development and program accreditation activities.
- Serve on academic and administrative committees at the department and college level.
- Engage in community outreach and industry collaboration initiatives.
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Evidence of effective university-level teaching.
- A strong record or potential for scholarly research and publication.
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
