Senior Engineer , IT Security Operations

As a Senior Engineer within the Core Delivery team, you will be aligned to a specific service, enhancing your skills across multiple specializations through hands-on experience. You will work across various Service Delivery Teams, focusing on support, network, security, cloud, data, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service Delivery: Collaborate with multiple Service Delivery Teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Specializations: Gain expertise in support, network, security, cloud, data, and infrastructure.
• Security Technologies: Maintain a detailed understanding of security technologies and products.
• Networking: Apply TCP/IP fundamentals and manage multivendor firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortigate).
• Technical Expertise: Develop deep expertise in one or two technology stacks and quickly learn new technologies.
• Team Leadership: Coach and guide engineers and other service management staff.
• Solution Architecture: Identify requirements and create solution architectures that meet those needs.
• Process Improvement: Analyze and simplify solutions or processes, including service management.
• Troubleshooting: Proficiently troubleshoot software or infrastructure issues using tools or debugging large codebases.
• Best Practices: Improve team operations by incorporating best practices.
• Feature Development: Successfully launch new features or re-architect old ones, balancing technology with business value.
• Service Management: Utilize extensive knowledge in service management, scripting, packaging tools, or programming languages.
• Design and Analysis: Apply object-oriented design and analysis skills.
• Technology Evaluation: Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
• Analytical Skills: Use strong analytical and reasoning skills to visualize processes and outcomes.
• System Monitoring: Monitor and tune system performance, continually improving system monitoring and alerting.
• Security: Identify and fix security vulnerabilities, integrating software or existing solutions with existing systems.
• Quality Assurance: Develop test plans and quality assurance procedures.
• Policy Recommendations: Recommend changes in policies and procedures.
• Hands-On Experience: Install, configure, and troubleshoot network and security products in a multivendor environment.
• Problem Solving: Perform analysis and diagnosis of complex network and security problems in large data centers.
• Issue Resolution: Solve IP core network/security issues, including routing convergence problems.
• Communication: Synthesize complexities into clear communication and action plans.
• Upgrades and Migrations: Plan and execute complex network and security upgrades and migration/integration activities.
• Data Center Implementation: Plan and execute data center implementation activities related to security technologies and solutions.
• Technical Focal Point: Act as a technical focal point for complex network and security problem resolution.
• Architectural Design: Produce architectural security designs for large-scale networks.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work directly with senior management and business unit heads as required.
• Documentation and Presentation: Exhibit excellent communication skills with strong documentation and presentation abilities.
• Business Context: Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences by associating business context with technical issues.
