Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Riga, Latvia. The Junior IT System Administrator will provide technical support to internal users, assist with system setup and maintenance, and help ensure the stability, security, and smooth operation of the company’s IT environment.


Key Responsibilities

As a Junior IT System Administrator, you will be responsible for day to day IT support and system administration tasks, including:

• Providing end user support by assisting colleagues via phone, email, chat, or in person

• Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues related to computer hardware, software, and network connectivity

• Managing IT assets and inventory, as well as coordinating hardware repairs or replacements such as laptops, printers, and mobile devices

• Installing and configuring new computer systems, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Unix based), software applications, and network equipment

• Creating, managing, and maintaining user accounts and access permissions

• Assisting with security compliance by installing updates, managing patches, and supporting endpoint protection

• Maintaining accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and system configurations

• Guiding non technical users step by step to help them resolve IT issues independently


What we are looking for

Please apply if you have:

• Experience in IT system administration, technical support, or a similar role

• Good knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Unix based), and common business applications

• Hands on experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of workstations, software, printers, and network devices

• Understanding of user account and access management, such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, or LDAP

• Familiarity with security best practices, patch management, and endpoint protection

• Strong communication and problem solving skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non technical users

• A proactive, service oriented mindset and attention to detail, especially when documenting work
