Job Description
We are looking for a Java Software Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge applications that supports a high-impact project with the world’s leading manufacturer of lithography machines in Eindhoven (NL)
Responsibilities
- Create complex Java applications that help fine-tune the manufacturing process, helping process engineers to navigate the complexities of process set-up through excellent UX design.
- Implement and validate algorithms that give our customers the power to reach optimal results during manufacturing;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features, working on the product backlog defined by the Product Owner,
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices, including SOLID principles and design patterns.
- Ensuring the quality of personal deliverables by designing and implementing automated tests on unit and integration levels with a test-driven mindset
- Cooperating with other teams to ensure consistent implementation of the architecture and agreeing on interfaces and timing of cross-team deliveries,
- Troubleshooting, analyzing, and solving integration issues both from internal alpha and beta tests as well as those reported by our customers,
- Writing or updating product documentation in accordance with company processes,
- Suggesting improvements to our technical solutions and way of working, and implementing them in alignment with your team and their stakeholders
- Help monolithic to microservices architecture migration, ensuring efficient performance and scalability.
- Optimize application performance and ensure security best practices are followed.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
- Document development processes and technical specifications.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Your Team
Java Developers, Test Engineers, Product Owner, Functional Engineers(Mechatronic Engineers, Physics), UX team
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Java development.
- Java 8 & 11, JavaFX, GraalVM, Spring Boot, Docker, Git, Maven, JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber
- Pair Programming, Scrum, Behavioral Driven Development (BDD), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Jira, BitBucket, Bamboo-based CI pipeline
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
