We’re currently looking for a Data Analyst to support a large financial organisation in the Netherlands. This role sits at the intersection of finance, risk, data, and regulatory reporting, and is part of a broader transformation where the organisation is modernising its data landscape and moving towards the cloud.
As a Data Analyst, you’ll work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure finance and risk data is reliable, clearly defined, and ready for internal and regulatory reporting.
What you’ll be doing
- Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders who use finance and risk data
- Validate and monitor data from the data warehouse and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g. BCBS 239)
- Manage and support the monthly finance & risk data validation process for regulatory reporting
- Translate business requirements into clear data definitions and business rules
- Work closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to set priorities and ensure data management is included in the backlog
- Support the migration from legacy systems to a cloud-based data warehouse, including data quality checks and testing
- Help business users understand the data model and use the data correctly
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related (quantitative) field
- At least 3 years of experience within banking or financial services
- Experience with credit risk models such as PD, LGD, and EAD
- Strong analytical skills with experience in databases, data warehouses, and SQL
- Comfortable working with both business and IT stakeholders
- Strong communication skills in English
