DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with AWS expertise and the experience outlined below.

What You'll Do

· Contributing to the design of system architecture on AWS

· Building automation systems for cloud infrastructure

· Building and supporting infrastructure and developer tools to improve application development processes

· Designing and building advanced automated build, test, and release infrastructure

· Providing troubleshooting and timely resolution of system, network, and infrastructure problems

· Identifying and solving critical problems and preventing them from reoccurring via root cause analysis and automation

· Assessing and enhancing application security in AWS environments

What We Are Looking For

Education & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or similar disciplines

· 4+ years of experience in DevOps or a similar role

AWS & Cloud Expertise

· Commercial experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments in AWS

· Experience with DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and automated deployment

· Knowledge of AWS cloud platform design patterns and best practices

· AWS certification highly preferred (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator)

AWS Services Experience

· Hands-on experience with AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)

· Experience with AWS RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora)

· Experience with AWS EC2, Auto Scaling Groups, and Launch Templates

· Experience with databases: Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, DocumentDB (MongoDB-compatible), ElastiCache

· Experience with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures

· Experience with Amazon S3, EBS, and EFS

· Optional: Experience with AWS OpenSearch (formerly Elasticsearch Service)

AWS Networking & Security

· Experience in provisioning and configuring AWS VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, NAT Gateways

· Experience with AWS Application Load Balancer, Network Load Balancer, AWS CloudFront

· Experience with AWS WAF (Web Application Firewall)

· Experience in secure connectivity: AWS VPN (Site-to-Site), Direct Connect, Transit Gateway

· Knowledge of AWS IAM, Security Groups, NACLs, and AWS Secrets Manager

Containers & Orchestration

· Experience with containers and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes

· Hands-on experience with AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)

· Experience with Amazon ECR (Elastic Container Registry)

· Experience with AWS Fargate for serverless containers

Infrastructure as Code & Configuration Management

· Strong experience with Terraform for AWS infrastructure provisioning

· Experience with AWS CloudFormation

· Experience with Helm for Kubernetes package management

· Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet)

CI/CD & DevOps Tools

· Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy

· Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions

· Experience with version control systems, particularly Git

Monitoring & Logging

· Experience with AWS CloudWatch (Logs, Metrics, Alarms)

· Experience with logging and monitoring systems such as ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana

· Experience with AWS X-Ray for distributed tracing

· Experience implementing meaningful alerting systems using CloudWatch Alarms and SNS

Operating Systems & Scripting

· Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and operating Linux servers (Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, RHEL)

· Experience with Windows Server on AWS EC2

· Strong scripting skills: Python, Bash, PowerShell

· Basic knowledge of querying languages (SQL)

Development & Programming

· Knowledge of common programming languages used in modern web application development: Python, Node.js, Go, Java, C#, or PHP

· Understanding of application architecture and deployment patterns

Project Management

· Experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines

· Experience with project management tools: JIRA, Confluence

Optional/Preferred Skills

· Experience with AWS Data Analytics stack: AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, AWS Data Pipeline, Amazon Kinesis

· Experience with AWS Step Functions for workflow orchestration

· Experience with Amazon EventBridge for event-driven architectures

· Experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM) for fleet management

· Knowledge of AWS Cost Optimization strategies and tools

· Experience with AWS Backup and disaster recovery strategies
