Hours: Full-time

Duration: 12 months with potential to extend

Job Description:

We are looking for a UX Writer to work with our client on a remote basis

As the UX Writer within the Web Performance team, you’ll be responsible for writing content for products and web experiences, creating content that’s conversational, human-centric and accessible.

  • You will develop deep understanding of Industrial Automation’s key customer types and be able to tailor content to their preferences and needs.
  • You will be knowledgeable about content strategy, making it intuitive, easy to understand, and in line with the goals of the product.
  • You must have superb writing and editing skills, be an excellent collaborator and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will evangelise UX writing with lines of business and other people you collaborate with.

The expertise you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in digital content design, UX writing and content strategy (or equivalent studies).
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) to clarify technical assets and translate them into curated, customer-focused digital content.
  • Proven track record of defining, socialising, testing, iterating on and delivering outstanding digital content experiences.
  • Experience in Industrial Automation or another industry that is complex, multi-channel and diverse.
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration in a customer first, fast-paced environment within agile teams.

The skills you bring:

  • Adept at using language that is compelling, concise and friendly to simplify complex interactions and guide a user through a digital experience.
  • Ability to translate technical and complex assets provided by SMEs into a digital structure, tailored to online content user habits, in a compelling way.
  • UX writing team expert, on top of latest trends, able to share analyses and benchmarks that support the vision and strategy being implemented.
  • Proactive and meticulous, with an ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable defending content decisions with stakeholders and management and ability to negotiate edits with diplomacy and an open mind.
  • Uses data and analytics to find opportunities for improving the customer experience.
  • Can build credibility and trust with peers and stakeholders and enjoys working in a complex organization with multiple decision-makers.
  • Values pace over perfection, enjoys big picture and hands-on work, and has a proven track record of projects that achieve tangible results.
  • Willing to jump into different and related areas (content strategy, UX/UI critiques, project management), with an eye to the future of digital content design.

The value you deliver:

  • Driving the content strategy, content creation, and best practices that are critical in helping customers discover solutions and products.
  • Collaborating with the design and brand teams to write and test user-focused content that guides customers through an experience, while maintaining the client's tone and voice.
  • Influencing a test, learn, and optimize approach to content development where you’ll make informed decisions on the topics, tone, language, and delivery of content.
  • Working across teams to help deliver a cohesive content experience across solutions and products.
  • Championing content strategy and UX writing standards and principles across the teams you support.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in user experience, UX writing, design, communications, journalism, or a related field required.
  • Master's in communications or related field, or equivalent experience.
