This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly. What You Will Be Doing
- Design and Deliver Full-Stack Features: Drive user stories from conception to production; clarify specifications, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend logic, conduct rigorous testing, and deploy to live environments
- Diagnose and Resolve Bugs: Perform root cause investigations, address underlying issues (rather than surface symptoms), and prevent regressions through intelligent testing strategies
- Elevate Code Quality Standards: Assess plans and pull requests to enforce clarity, simplicity, and correctness, preventing technical debt from entering the codebase
- Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backend architectures for their own sake
- Executing specifications blindly without grasping the underlying problem
- Spending time in prolonged meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or tracking down stakeholders
- Simply delivering features; you'll own the responsibility of solving genuine problems
- Leveraging AI to create software that addresses authentic user needs, ships quickly, and remains maintainable over time
- A minimum of 4 years of experience developing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (any framework).
- Proven ownership: Documented experience owning entire modules, product features, or teams, beyond merely contributing isolated tasks
- Self-sufficient execution: The capacity to remove your own blockers, establish your own rhythm, and navigate forward in uncertain scenarios
- Practical experience using generative A.I. in your daily development workflow
