About The Role

We are seeking a versatile and talented Graphic & UI Designer to join our creative team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a designer who seamlessly combines artistic flair with technical precision, capable of managing a broad spectrum of design tasks—from traditional brand collateral to modern digital interfaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire design lifecycle, including conceptualizing logos, developing print layouts, creating high-fidelity UI prototypes, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of designs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where creativity and attention to detail are paramount, and where your designs will directly influence the user experience and brand identity of our clients.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical skills and artistic talent, including expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and modern UI tools such as Figma or Sketch. A solid understanding of design fundamentals—typography, color theory, layout, and overall design principles—is essential. Mid-level expertise in UI design principles, research methodologies, and design delivery workflows is required. Candidates should demonstrate high levels of creativity, with an ability to craft cohesive visual stories by blending images, words, and media effectively. Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines are critical. A portfolio showcasing a range of print and digital projects is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

As a Graphic & UI Designer at Cella, your responsibilities will include:

  • Create layouts for logos, packaging, advertising, and marketing collateral, overseeing the production process, including conducting press checks for print materials.
  • Develop mockups, clickable prototypes, and comprehensive design systems to ensure consistency across all digital platforms.
  • Prepare assets for development handoff, create simple animations, and maintain UI design best practices within the product team.
  • Conduct UI research, including competitive analysis and A/B testing, to inform design decisions and ensure accessibility standards are met.
  • Partner closely with UX designers to transition wireframes into polished visual designs, and collaborate with software engineers to facilitate UI reviews and asset integration.
  • Take initiative in team processes and stakeholder communication, with opportunities to grow into leadership roles within the design team.

Benefits

Cella offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health, well-being, and professional development of its employees. Eligible candidates will have access to medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance, along with AD&D and life insurance coverage. The company also provides short-term disability benefits and a 401(k) plan to help secure your financial future. In addition, Cella promotes a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages continuous learning and growth. As a contractor, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working with a forward-thinking team on impactful projects that enhance your portfolio and skill set.
