Where Builders Build the Future
At RELYzIT Talent, we don’t recruit — we build. We unite the top 2% of builders — engineers, architects, creators — into a movement across Europe and the GCC. Vetted through our VECTOR7™ Signal Stack, you’re not just hired, you’re chosen. This is more than work. This is where builders build the future.
About the Role
We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert Devices (SME Devices) for a high-impact freelance mission with our client, a leader in digital workplace transformation. This is a full-time, 11-month freelance assignment based in Charleroi, with the potential for renewal. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping, securing, and evolving the device ecosystem for a large-scale enterprise, ensuring that every endpoint is robust, compliant, and future-ready.
Why This Role Matters
As SME Devices, you will be the architect and guardian of the digital workplace, driving the technical vision for smart devices and workstations across a complex, high-stakes environment. Your expertise will directly impact business continuity, security, and user experience for over 1,000 users. The stakes are high: your work will ensure seamless operations, regulatory compliance, and the integration of cutting-edge solutions that keep our client ahead of the curve.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, and evolution of technical solutions for workstations (PCs, laptops, VDI) and smart devices (smartphones, tablets).
- Align technical solutions with business needs, ensuring performance, security, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Guarantee that all designs and deployments adhere to internal security policies and architectural frameworks.
- Deliver expert-level (L3) support, troubleshooting complex incidents and ensuring operational excellence (Keep IT Running).
- Drive the creation, updating, and dissemination of technical documentation, operational instructions, and procedures.
- Monitor and report on technical performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Stay ahead of the curve with continuous technology watch, integrating relevant innovations into the device landscape.
- Manage asset lifecycle: inventory, end-of-life (EOL) processes, reporting, and KPI tracking.
- Apply security and compliance standards (CIS L1/L2, hardening, exception management) and ensure adherence to ISO 27001 and NIS norms.
- Collaborate in an Agile environment, leveraging Azure DevOps for project delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as SME Devices/workstations in large-scale environments (>1,000 users), minimum 3 years.
- Mastery of Modern Management, especially Microsoft Intune (Autopilot, Whiteglove, Compliance policies, Intune policies).
- Deep expertise in endpoint management: PCs (laptops, desktops), VDI, VM, smartphones, and tablets (iOS/Android).
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Windows Defender, DLP, etc.).
- Experience with Knox and Apple Business Manager (ABM) platforms.
- Advanced support and operations skills: L3 incident management, monitoring, tuning, and operational continuity.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Cloud security (Defender, Purview, DLP, etc.).
- Familiarity with core network services: DNS, DHCP, VPN.
- Asset management expertise: inventory, lifecycle, reporting, KPI.
- Security and compliance: CIS standards, image hardening, exception management.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 and NIS standards (nice to have).
- Experience working in Agile methodologies and with Azure DevOps.
