Role: DevOps Engineer for Telecom OSS Service Assurance (Mycom NetExpert)

Location: Helsinki, Finland

Employment type: Full-time

Experience: 6+yrs


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines for NetExpert configurations, correlation policies, adapters, and peripheral microservices (e.g., enrichment/ITSM bridges).
  • Operate and tune NetExpert northbound/southbound interfaces (from NEs/EMS/NMS and to ITSM).
  • Ensure reliable alarm normalization, enrichment (inventory/topology), rule execution, and auto‑ticketing per business policies (including deduplication, suppression, and prioritization).
  • Implement end‑to‑end observability: logs/metrics/traces for ingestion, correlation engines, enrichment services, and ticketing flows.
  • Maintain robust integrations to Inventory (for topology/resource context), ITSM (e.g., ServiceNow auto‑ticketing), and reporting/analytics platforms
  • Capacity‑plan and tune ingestion throughput, correlation rulesets, and enrichment pipelines for peak windows
  • Provide L2/L3 support for deployment/integration issues; lead post‑mortems, update KEDB and runbooks; drive preventive fixes


Experience & Skills Requirements:

Must have:

  • Service Assurance domain expertise: fault management, correlation/enrichment, SLA/KPI tracking; understanding of Network Trouble Management processes.
  • MyCom NetExpert platform knowledge: configuration, rule/policy development, integrations/adapters, auto‑ticketing orchestration. [mycom.com]
  • CI/CD & Automation: Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps; configuration‑as‑code, artifact versioning, pipeline gating.
  • Observability: ELK/Elastic, Prometheus/Grafana (or equivalent); log/metric/trace correlation and actionable alerting.
  • Integration patterns: REST/SOAP, message queues (where applicable), idempotency, retry/DLQ handling; ITSM integration (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Security & governance: RBAC, TLS, secret management; ITIL Incident/Problem/Change; CAB participation and audit readiness.
  • Linux & scripting: Bash/Python (or equivalent) for ops automation; comfort with containers and deployment automation.


Good to have:

  • Experience in cloud/SaaS deployments of assurance platforms and scaling patterns
  • Familiarity with TM Forum frameworks (eTOM/SID/ODA) and customer‑aware NOC/SOC practices (guided diagnostics, proactive operations)
  • Knowledge of Inventory systems (EAI/Granite) and topology modeling to improve enrichment quality.
  • Exposure to AIOps features and predictive assurance (noise reduction, anomaly detection)
