NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EIB funded project called: One stop data platform (BI) and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.


The overall objective of this assignment is to support the European Investment Bank and the European Commission in building fundamentals for automated and more granular reporting, data driven investment decisions, as well as market insights for policy initiatives and ecosystem capabilities building initiatives, aimed at helping early-stage companies/SMEs.


Location: Luxembourg

Duration: The intended start date is March 2026 and the services shall be provided for a period of implementation of 14 months from this date.


Key Expert: Data Engineers (Cat. III):


☝️ Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Business Analytics, or a related field (Minimum requirement).
  • Coursework or certifications in: Data Warehousing and ETL processes; Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark); Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP); Venture capital, finance, or startup ecosystems - Will be considered an asset.
  • Working command of English language (CEFR C1). (Minimum requirement)


☝️ General professional experience:

  • 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related role, ideally within financial services, venture capital, or startup analytics. (Minimum requirement).


☝️ Specific professional experience:


Minimum requirements:

Proven experience in:

  • Designing and maintaining data pipelines for large-scale structured and unstructured data.
  • Working with VC-relevant datasets such as startup funding rounds, investor profiles, market trends, and performance metrics.
  • Integrating data from external APIs, databases, and web scraping tools to enrich venture capital insights.
  • Building and optimizing data models to support investment decision-making and portfolio tracking.

Hands-on experience with:

  • SQL, Python, and data orchestration tools.
  • Cloud-based data platforms.
  • BI tools (e.g. Power BI) for stakeholder reporting.

Familiarity with:

  • VC workflows, including deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Startup ecosystems in Europe/or the US.
  • Sector-specific data in cleantech, biotech, deep tech, and dual-use technologies.


Assets:

  • Prior experience working with European funding instruments, such as Horizon Europe, EIC, or national innovation grants, and understanding of EU startup support mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of Vestberry or similar portfolio management platforms used in venture capital for tracking fund performance and analytics.
