As a Back-office Infrastructure Security Engineer you will be engaged in ensuring a high level of quality of service on Security Platforms for one of the biggest telecommunications operators in Germany.

You will also ensure that incident, change, problem management processes are well performed within the agreed targets.

Job Description

• Operate, configure and troubleshoot of systems as per Low Level Design;
• Finetune and optimize the deployments for the customer environment;
• Collaborate with vendors, internal and external stakeholders to address Events, Incidents and Problems across Network Security and platform Systems like Firewall, Next Generation Firewall, LoadBalancer, VPNs, IPS/IDS, WAF , Linux Solutions , PKI Solutions – CA , CLM , IAM Solutions – ISE , LDAP;
• Performing diagnosis, root-cause analysis, escalation, tracking and permanent resolution of complex security incidents;
• Coordinating with network and cloud engineers to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of security architecture;
• Provide knowledge and training session to the internal teams;
• Provide support on Incident Response on security incidents and participate in the development of business cases and presentations on information security technologies of interest to the company;
• Perform on-call duty.

Technical Knowledge:

• Hands on Experience on Security and platform Solutions operations;
• Good understanding of TCP/IP stack and network security controls;
• Experience in delivering security and platform solution in cloud environment;
• Experience with various vendors security products like – Cisco: ASAv, ISE, FTD … F5: BIGIP AFM , GTM , ASM , LTM;
• Experience with various platform products like – DNS, NTP, DHCP, Linux technologies / solutions;
• Experience in implementing, integrating, configuring and fine tuning of network security systems mentioned above;
• Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, Keycloak , Vault , SSO etc);
• Experience in security zoning concepts, DMZ zone security;
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure Security;
• Experience in monitoring solutions of Security & platform solutions;
• Defining and configuration of Cloud Identity & Access Management;
• Strong knowledge of firewalls platforms;
• Experience in network monitoring and security operations;

Good to have:

• Containers and Container Orchestrators knowledge: Kubernetes, Docker;
• Strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills in Linux/Unix, Windows;
• Strong knowledge in virtualization systems (VMWARE, OpenStack etc.);
• Infrastructure and cloud certificates represent an advantage;
• German Language represents an advantage.

What you will be doing:

• Build workflows for configuration, verification, health checking and monitoring of various network components.
• Troubleshooting of known faults/Identified scenarios.
• Co-ordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Raise Problem Tickets as a part of problem management.
• Participate and review test cases for NW elements, acceptance test executions.
• Implement Change Requests as per Change Windows and/or support execution of maintenance work for other stakeholders.
