Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend / AI Engineer to build and scale the backend infrastructure of our AI-driven products for the global market. You will work on TypeScript + Node.js (Express) APIs, Python microservices, and scalable systems on Google Cloud.

🎯 Responsibilities

Develop high-traffic, production-grade APIs using TypeScript + Node.js (Express)
Design scalable NoSQL data models (Firestore, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.)
Build Python microservices with FastAPI / Flask (OOP, async, multiprocessing, threading)
Integrate and secure external providers (Stripe, RevenueCat, Adapty, AI model APIs)
Implement caching, rate limiting, and distributed locks using Redis / Valkey
Develop basic AI inference & preprocessing services with PyTorch / OpenCV
Optimize production systems on Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Firestore, Pub/Sub)
Design backup and disaster recovery strategies
Build logging, monitoring, and alerting systems
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based deployments
Manage Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible) and CDN integrations
Rapidly prototype and ship production code using AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot)

🧠 Requirements

Strong experience with Node.js, Express, and TypeScript
Solid understanding of NoSQL data modeling (Firestore / MongoDB / DynamoDB)
Advanced Python skills (FastAPI / Flask, async, multiprocessing)
Experience with Redis / Valkey
Knowledge of API security, token management, and webhook validation
Performance- and memory-conscious engineering mindset
Experience with Docker, logging, and monitoring
Familiarity with Cloudflare R2 / CDN
Experience with Google Cloud services is a strong plus
(Plus) Experience with Clerk authentication

Prompt engineering or fine-tuning experience
Experience in large-scale systems
Mobile app backend experience (subscriptions, webhooks, analytics)
