The Manager – BI Development is responsible for designing, executing, and delivering end-to-end solutions based on MAF Retail business intelligence and automation delivery and Insights roadmap, in close collaboration with the business functions, and data engineers.

Highly specialized, experienced, multi-skilled and ambitious individual to steer & build NextGen BI & Data analytics solutions. The potential candidate has excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to co-address the business challenges and provide solutions covering 16 countries and all MAFR Functions.

On the data management side, the potential candidate will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. It requires deep expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of large datasets. In addition, it requires expertise in designing, implementing, and operating stable, scalable, low-cost solutions to flow data from production systems into the data warehouse and into end-user facing applications (Power BI).

Responsibilities:

• Lead Business Intelligence projects design, execution and delivery ensuring compliance and consistency with MAFR BI delivery standards and data governance.
• Lead the collaboration with MAFR Functions to identify key business challenges and how to tackle them through business intelligence and data analytics and actionable projects.
• Supervise the design, development, maintenance & real-time update, CI/CD, and governance compliance of Power BI workspaces, applications, datasets, flows, dashboards, reports, performance metrics, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Lead the development and maintenance of MAFR Business Intelligence glossary book for all BI activities (KPIs, measures, variables, tables, views, dimensions, naming conventions …etc.).
• Develop automated processes & workflows solutions utilizing Power Apps & Power Automate.
• Develop BI champions across MAFR Countries and Functions to decentralize the analysis dashboards and visualizations utilizing MAFR centralized datasets.
• Lead MAFR BI RLS, PLS, and OLS design, architecture, and ensure complete automated execution flow through close cooperation with Data-Engineering and Data Architecture.
• Design end-to-end CI/CD process ensuring seamless updates without interrupting the end-user experience.
• Co-design with the Cloud Architecture team a unified framework for XMLA (read/write) including policy & procedures to ensure governance compliance, quality, and seamless process for the frequent data read/update on all platforms.
• Utilize advanced SQL, DAX, and M techniques to extract insights from large datasets and run regular quality checks to ensure maintaining the minimum data quality threshold.
• Ensure & maintain DAX best performance practices are followed and cooperate with Cloud Architecture team to enhance and ensure that the direct query responses are at its best performance.
• Conduct regular data analyses and deliver comprehensive reports, highlighting trends, opportunities, and potential risks to support business planning and strategy development.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security throughout the organization, following industry-standard protocols and compliance requirements.
• Identify design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
• Identify opportunities for data acquisition and build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
• Developing real-time database solutions and pipeline to Power BI Dashboard.

Minimum Essential Qualifications/Education:

• Bachelors degree in data engineering, Computer Science, or management information systems.
• 6+ years of experience as Business Intelligence Developer on Power BI Platform in multinational environment operating overseas creating and building complex BI solutions at enterprise level. analyses and evaluation tools for assessing/tracking performance and learning associated user behavior with the ability to demonstrate value and track record.
