This role is crucial for enhancing operational efficiencies and promoting best practices across development and deployment processes. You will collaborate closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions. Accountabilities

  • Tightly partner with Development groups to build and deploy better services
  • Develop Operational targets and telemetry with Development clients
  • Promote strong quality control practices through continuous integration and continuous deployment using tools like Sonar
  • Responsible for application integration activities for monitoring tools using tools like DataDog and SumoLogic
  • Analyze software applications to identify vulnerabilities using tools like JFrog Xray and Veracode
  • Design and maintain infrastructure automation tools
  • Production experience with Docker/Kubernetes at scale
  • Design and evolve deployment systems and pipelines for reliability, security, and efficiency
  • Implement system and service telemetry to improve reliability and availability
  • Execute on security best practices for cloud deployments

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, CloudFormation, Route53, ELB, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience working with Windows, Linux, IIS/.net, and Java environments at scale
  • Understanding of containerization and experience leveraging Docker
  • Deep knowledge of Git and Jenkins or Bamboo
  • Familiarity with Agile principles
  • Experience with Chef, Puppet or Ansible
  • Ability to script using PowerShell, Python, or bash
  • Solid knowledge of cloud security and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience preferred
