What You'll Do
- Work on a high-impact product that is still in an early, fast-evolving stage.
- Drive innovation in backend engineering while continuously improving performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Own the design, development, and validation of backend and framework components using strong software engineering practices.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into robust system architecture and detailed designs.
- Build scalable services and systems that can support rapid growth and high throughput.
- Actively participate in code reviews and architectural discussions to maintain high engineering standards.
- Mentor junior engineers, contribute to defining technical best practices, and help shape a strong engineering culture.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment.
- 3-6 years of experience in backend or product engineering, with exposure to large-scale system design.
- Strong foundation in system design, architecture, and backend development.
- A continuous learner who actively seeks to improve both technical skills and engineering processes.
- Experience mentoring team members through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Comfortable working in Agile teams and taking ownership as a proactive, self-driven contributor.
- Passionate about solving complex problems, building scalable systems, and writing high-quality code.
- Hands-on experience with Java and/or Golang.
- Working knowledge of databases and data stores such as DynamoDB, RDS, Aerospike, and Elasticsearch.
- Experience building and operating systems on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Curious, confident, self-aware, and a first-principles thinker who enjoys tackling challenging problems.
