The Office Facilities App Engineer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Office Facilities application ecosystem, ensuring operational continuity, and supporting strategic initiatives across Office Buildings and Real Estate technology platforms. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, proactive issue resolution, and alignment with enterprise standards.
Responsibilities
Application Maintenance & Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Office Facilities app functionality, including certificate printing and approval workflows
- Monitor system health and ensure compliance with site-specific operational policies, such as shutdown notice requirements and restart conditions.
- Participate in planning and execution of server upgrades, ensuring compatibility with enterprise systems (e.g., Niagara rollout replacing Metasys).
- Coordinate with networking and security teams for data center server transfers and maintain accurate compliance records.
- Engage in daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning sessions to review PI objectives and address open questions.
- Provide updates on project status, risks, and dependencies during team catch-ups and one-on-one meetings.
- Develop and maintain holiday coverage plans to ensure continuity of critical operations during reduced staffing periods.
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT or business-related discipline.
- Mechanical drawings (Floorplans, HVAC, BMS, Topology)
- Strong understanding of enterprise building management systems and integration platforms.
- Experience with server infrastructure, upgrade planning, and compliance processes.
- Familiarity with subscription management and financial reporting cycles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional engagement.
- Highly proficient in English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Knowledge of Niagara and Metasys systems.
- Experience with recognition platforms and workflow automation.
- Ability to manage priorities in dynamic environments with strict operational policies.
