The Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE) is an established, world-class scientific research and experimentation facility that organizes and conducts scientific research and technology development centred on the maritime domain. It delivers innovative and field-tested science and technology (S&T) solutions to address defence and security needs of the Alliance.
Responsibilities:
- Design research, service design, or strategic design roles with deep expertise in qualitative methodologies and design thinking frameworks.
- Lead comprehensive user research to uncover needs, behaviours, and pain points across diverse stakeholder groups
- Facilitate workshops and design sessions to build cross-functional alignment and drive consensus
- Guide teams to concrete product decisions through structured design thinking
- Design intuitive, accessible interfaces by translating research insights into wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready visual designs
- Collaborate cross-functionally to iterate and implement designs by working with Engineering to ensure feasibility and rapidly refining solutions based on feedback
- Synthesize findings into actionable design principles, user stories, and prioritized requirements
- Define and own the product vision, translating insights into a coherent strategy that guides development
- A minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in an information systems, physics or electronics related scientific or engineering discipline
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in product management in complex or data-driven environments, with strong background in agile methodologies and stakeholder management.
- Strong facilitation and storytelling skills to align diverse stakeholders and senior leadership
- Deep expertise in relevant discipline methodologies and best practices
- Professional experience working effectively in cross-functional agile teams
- Very good level of spoken and written English
