The Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE) is an established, world-class scientific research and experimentation facility that organizes and conducts scientific research and technology development centred on the maritime domain. It delivers innovative and field-tested science and technology (S&T) solutions to address defence and security needs of the Alliance.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee software development activities, managing timelines, budgets, resources, and dependencies to ensure on-time delivery
- Track progress, identify and mitigate risks and blockers, and facilitate communication between technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership
- A minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in an information systems, physics or electronics related scientific or engineering discipline, or other relevant scientific discipline, and 2 years post-related experience.
- A recognised formal Project Management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or PMP
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in managing software development or IT projects with proven track record of successful delivery in complex technical environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills with ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project and operational risks while translating complex requirements into actionable plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across technical and non-technical audiences
- Professional experience with project management tools, collaboration platforms, and documentation systems (e.g. Azure DevOps, JIRA, etc.)
- Understanding of IT service delivery, operational workflows, and procurement processes
- Good level of spoken and written English
