They are seeking an experienced Conducting Officer – Compliance, AML/CFT & IT Oversight to strengthen their governance framework and ensure robust oversight across their AIFM activities.
Your areas of responsibility:
Compliance Oversight
- Oversee the design, implementation and continuous effectiveness of the Compliance framework in line with Luxembourg and EU regulations
- Supervise the Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP), ensuring timely execution, issue tracking and reporting to senior management and the Board
- Provide regulatory guidance on fund structuring, cross-border marketing, management passporting and operational matters
- Act as the primary contact point for the CSSF and other competent authorities on compliance-related topics
- Review and validate regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Contribute to governance bodies, risk committees and Board discussions, including escalation of compliance incidents
- Approve and monitor delegated compliance activities, including due diligence, SLAs and performance reporting
AML/CFT Oversight
- Ensure the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of the AML/CFT framework in line with Luxembourg AML Law, CSSF Regulation 12-02 and EU requirements
- Act as, or supervise, the Responsible Person (RC) for AML/CFT for the AIFM and/or managed Funds
- Oversee AML/CFT due diligence performed by delegates and internal teams, including KYC, risk assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Supervise investigations of unusual transactions and validate STR/SAR filings
- Oversee AML/CFT training programmes for staff and delegates
- Ensure alignment of AML/CFT practices across fund structures, jurisdictions and delegated service providers
IT Oversight
- Oversee the IT governance framework, with a focus on outsourced IT service providers under CSSF Circular 22/806 and DORA
- Maintain oversight of critical and important IT outsourcing arrangements, including risk assessments, contractual safeguards and exit strategies
- Review IT provider reporting (SLAs, KPIs, incidents, cybersecurity metrics, testing results)
- Ensure implementation and regular testing of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans
- Act as escalation point for material IT incidents and coordinate regulatory reporting where required
- Contribute to Board reporting and governance on IT risk matters
Reporting & Governance
- Integrate Compliance, AML/CFT and IT oversight into the broader governance framework of the AIFM
- Oversee preparation and submission of Board reports and annual compliance reports
- Act as key liaison with auditors, internal audit and regulators during reviews and inspections
- Promote a strong compliance and risk culture across the organisation
- Ensure appropriate delegation, team oversight and operational continuity within the Compliance, AML and IT oversight functions
Your profile:
- At least 10 years of relevant experience within the financial sector, with significant exposure to Compliance, AML/CFT and regulatory oversight
- University degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related field; professional qualifications in Compliance or AML/CFT are a strong asset
- Proven experience within a Luxembourg AIFM, Management Company or regulated financial institution
- Prior CSSF approval as Conducting Officer for Compliance is strongly preferred
- Solid experience acting as or supervising the Responsible Person (RC) for AML/CFT
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg and EU regulations (AIFMD, AML Law, CSSF Circulars and Regulations)
- Good understanding of IT risk, IT outsourcing, BCP/DRP and operational resilience
- Familiarity with private equity and alternative fund structures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with regulators, auditors, Board members and senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical mindset, structured approach and attention to detail
- Leadership capabilities with experience in delegation, mentoring and senior oversight
- Fluent in English; French is a strong asset
