What The Role Is

The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) which aims to pioneer innovation solutions and develop world class science and technology capabilities to transform and empower the Home Team in delivering safety and security for Singapore.

The HTxAI Products team is committed to empower our Home Team Department (HTD)'s flagship projects through the seamless integration of AI technologies. From identifying opportunities to delivery, launch, and continuous enhancement, HTxAI aims to push boundaries and setting new standards in homeland security.

The Engineer / Lead Engineer (Product Management) will drive the development of digital products for Singapore’s homeland security. Not only should this candidate be proficient with product management frameworks, processes, and tools, he or she must possess good character and teamwork abilities to be a good fit with their product team(s) and company culture. If successful, the candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders within the homeland security space to develop in-house, AI-driven products for Home Team use cases, seeing the growth of each product through its lifecycle from ideation to launch and continuous improvement, while promoting a product-centric development culture within HTX.

What You Will Be Working On

• Manage product lifecycles to ensure the relevance and value of in-house products to users.
• Define and execute product vision, strategies, and roadmaps to meet business objectives.
• Discover, analyse, and translate user needs into product features.
• Conduct market research and user analysis to identify new leads and product growth opportunities.
• Align with users and stakeholders on product goals and requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams to plan, prioritise, and deliver product backlogs.
• Manage the product development process using agile methodologies.
• Ensure timely delivery of product milestones and communication with key stakeholders.
• Develop and communicate go-to-market strategies for new products or feature releases.
• Identify, collect, and analyse key metrics that communicate insights into product performance.
• Collect and analyse user feedback to optimize user experience by rectifying errors, identifying new features, or improving existing features.
• Support Head (Product management) in planning and delivering product roadmaps.
• Promote a product-centric culture and best practices in HTX through community outreach (e.g. articles, workshops, presentations).
  
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
• 0-2 years of experience in product management or a related field.
• Experienced with using agile development methodologies in delivering digital products.
• Familiar with AI-driven technologies
• Achieved success in defining, launching, and scaling products.
• Interested in innovation and staying abreast with emerging AI technologies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Team player who is comfortable with working collaborative across cross-functional teams.
• Embraces a user-centric mindset with a passion to build great products.
• All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
