Senior Android Developer (24-Month Contract, Hybrid - Dublin)

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer for a 24-month initial contract to join our dynamic team in Dublin. This hybrid role involves working on innovative applications in a collaborative and Agile environment. You will be part of a cross-functional Scrum team contributing to the development, testing, and maintenance of applications while solving technical challenges and meeting evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Develop, test, and maintain new and existing Android applications using modern practices.
• Team Collaboration: Work within a Scrum team comprising Developers, Designers, Quality Assurance, Scrum Master, and Product Owner to address technical challenges.
• Independent Code Development: Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code.
• Documentation: Add clear documentation to ensure transparency and understanding of design decisions.
• Code Deployment: Merge code into release builds and deploy to various environments.
• Architectural Contributions: Provide input during architecture discussions to influence technical direction.
• Backlog Refinement: Participate in shaping the product backlog and defining future features.
• Agile Practices: Engage in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and products.

Experience:

• 3+ years in Android development using MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• 2+ years with Kotlin, RxJava, Coroutines, Compose, and Jetpack components.
• Working knowledge of dependency injection frameworks like Dagger, Koin, or Hilt.
• Familiarity with persistence libraries (Realm, Room, SQLite).
• Expertise in using Retrofit and image-loading libraries.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to design robust software solutions with minimal guidance.
• Proven debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with source control systems, preferably Git.
• Reviewing pull requests and conducting code reviews.
• Agile Experience: Comfortable working collaboratively in an Agile environment with regular releases.
