🎛️ Hiring: Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer – Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant

Join a leading O&M organization supporting one of Oman’s key Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power facilities. As an I&C Engineer, you will ensure the safe, reliable, and optimized performance of plant instrumentation, control systems, and automation infrastructure — playing a critical role in maintaining availability, efficiency, and operational excellence.
What you’ll do:
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance of all I&C systems, including transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and field instrumentation.
- Support the continuous operation of the plant’s DCS, PLC, and control networks, ensuring system integrity and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot complex instrumentation and control faults across gas turbines, HRSG, steam turbines, and balance-of-plant systems.
- Participate in commissioning, calibration, loop checks, and functional testing during outages and major maintenance.
- Review and enhance preventive maintenance programs to improve asset reliability and reduce reactive work.
- Provide technical support for modifications, upgrades, and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Ensure I&C maintenance documentation, work orders, and reports are accurately maintained within the CMMS (SAP preferred).
- Collaborate with operations, electrical, and mechanical teams to support plant performance targets.
- Assist in preparing spare parts forecasts, technical evaluations, and maintenance budgets.
- Ensure compliance with HSSE regulations, control-room safety standards, and company operating procedures.
- Promote continuous improvement in maintenance methods, troubleshooting practices, and control system optimization.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- 5–8 years’ experience in I&C maintenance within CCGT or power generation environments.
- Strong working knowledge of DCS/PLC architectures (e.g., Siemens, GE, Emerson, Yokogawa).
- Experience with instrumentation calibration, loop tuning, control logic, and process automation.
- Familiarity with gas turbine and HRSG I&C systems and protection schemes.
- Proficiency with CMMS systems, technical reporting, and maintenance planning.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities with a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Fluent in English; Arabic an advantage.
