JOB SCOPE

To plan and execute the audits related to Airports Technical Services to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards. Assess and test controls to identify weaknesses or deficiencies in the infrastructure and systems. Provide assurance, consultancy and recommendations on control deficiencies to the audit, risk & committee.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Plan and execute audit fieldwork across assigned technical areas covering engineering, maintenance, facilities, airside/landside operations, and capital projects.
• Assess operational risk management, asset integrity, safety controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare audit workpapers and support overall execution of infrastructure-related audits.
• Evaluate maintenance records, service agreements, and engineering controls; document compliance gaps and recommend control improvements.
• Verify departmental and contractor compliance with relevant technical regulations; assist in gathering and reviewing regulatory audit evidence.
• Conduct audit reviews of project documentation and processes; test controls related to procurement, budgeting, timelines, and contractor performance.
• Assess risks associated with technical project execution; review change orders and track schedule milestones; support assessment of project governance mechanism.
• Conduct walkthroughs and audits of safety systems; review logs, drills, and compliance with operational readiness protocols.
• Perform detailed control testing and data analysis for operational technology systems, flag system performance issues and configuration risks.
• Support technical audits focusing on cybersecurity elements related to operational infrastructure; document findings and recommend remediation steps.
• Collect and analyze operational data; prepare summaries on technical performance metrics and highlight inefficiencies or trends
• Assist in fieldwork, evidence collection, and reporting for audits related to ISO certifications, environmental controls, and compliance with technical authorities.
• Liaise with relevant departments to gather operational insight; contribute to risk assessments and suggest focus areas for future audit coverage.
• Investigate incidents through data analysis, interviews, and document reviews; prepare initial root cause assessments and propose internal control improvements.
• Draft audit reports highlighting operational risks and improvement opportunities.
• Escalate high-risk findings immediately to the Audit Director and CAE.
• Follow up on recommendations and generate progress report on implementation of recommendations based on agreed upon timeline.
• Support investigations and special operational reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any relevant field, Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of related work experience in technical audit with 3 - 4 years in supervisory level, preferable in aviation sector.
• CIA, CFE or CISA is Mandatory.
