Why This Role Exists

When you're moving millions of passengers, data is operations. A delayed trip isn't just a number — it's a patient missing an appointment. A payment discrepancy isn't just a spreadsheet row — it's a contractor relationship at stake.

We need someone who can turn raw data into operational advantage: surface delays before they cascade, reconcile payments before they become disputes, and give our operations and finance teams the visibility to stay ahead — not react.

You'll own reporting that matters. Not vanity dashboards — real outputs that drive daily decisions across US healthcare transportation operations.

What You'll Do

Operational Reporting

• Build and maintain dashboards tracking on-time performance (OTP), trip delays, and service disruptions
• Create alerting and monitoring so operations teams catch issues early—not after complaints
• Analyze patterns: Why are certain routes underperforming? Where are bottlenecks forming?
• Support ops teams with ad-hoc analysis when they need answers fast

Financial Reporting

• Own contractor payment reports—reconciliation, accuracy, dispute prevention
• Build billable vs. payable reporting for finance teams
• Track revenue, costs, and margins across service types and clients
• Ensure financial data flows cleanly between systems

Data Infrastructure & Collaboration

• Work with engineering to identify gaps in data visibility and help enable better instrumentation
• Research and surface the most important data points the business isn't yet tracking
• Write and optimize SQL queries across BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and Spanner
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards (or similar) that stakeholders actually use

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Translate operations and finance needs into data requirements
• Communicate findings clearly—numbers mean nothing without narrative
• Train teams on self-service reporting where appropriate

KPIs we care about:

• Report accuracy and reliability
• Time-to-insight on operational issues (delays surfaced faster)
• Reduction in payment discrepancies and disputes
• Stakeholder adoption of dashboards you build

What You Bring

Experience

• 2–4 years in BI, data analysis, or operations analytics roles
• Track record of building reports that drive business decisions—not just charts
• Experience working with operations, finance, or cross-functional stakeholders
• Transportation, logistics, or healthcare domain experience is a strong plus

Technical Skills

• SQL — advanced proficiency (complex joins, window functions, query optimization)
• Experience with data warehouses: BigQuery, PostgreSQL, or similar
• Power BI (or Tableau, Looker) — dashboard creation, data modeling
• Excel proficiency for ad-hoc analysis and financial reporting
• Python for data processing/automation — nice to have

Mindset

• You care about data accuracy — "close enough" isn't good enough for payments or OTP
• Proactive: you surface insights, not just answer questions
• Strong communicator: you translate data into decisions for non-technical stakeholders
• Curious about the domain: you want to understand why trips are late, not just that they're late

Languages

• English — fluent (written and spoken) — required
• Russian — a plus (large part of team is Russian-speaking)
