Your main responsibilities

The main responsibility of the Data Scientist in Prima’s Pricing team is to harness the power of data analytics, AI, and machine learning to drive predictive pricing strategies. You’ll be tasked with analyzing large datasets to anticipate market trends, evaluate client risk, and set competitive pricing that aligns with our growth goals. This role is essential to building and maintaining Prima’s competitive edge in the insurance industry by providing data-driven insights that guide strategic decisions.

In addition to technical analysis, you’ll collaborate closely with other departments, ensuring that pricing models are aligned with broader business objectives and continuously optimized. Your work will directly impact Prima’s success, contributing to our mission to become a top global insurance provider.

Requirements for this position

  • Academic Background: Strong academic achievements in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional quantitative, logical, and analytical abilities to tackle complex data challenges.
  • Programming & Machine Learning: Solid foundation in programming (Python or similar) and experience with machine learning techniques.
  • Data Manipulation: Proficiency in data mining languages such as MySQL or Redshift to create and manage datasets.
  • Curiosity and Innovation: A proactive mindset, with a drive for curiosity and problem-solving in a collaborative environment.
  • International Experience: Previous international experience is a plus, supporting Prima’s global perspective.
