Our defence client is looking for a DevOps Engineer/Architect to work on a long term contract based fully onsite in The Hague, The Netherlands. An active SC/DV/NATO clearance would be required.

Daily Duties:

• Assist with implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing of applications and infrastructure.
• Support cloud infrastructure provisioning and maintenance using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to team deliverables.
• Monitor infrastructure and application performance using logging and metrics tools; assist in building dashboards and alerting mechanisms.
• Apply security controls and best practices in collaboration with cybersecurity personnel, supporting compliance with NATO standards.
• Help resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues and support root cause analysis for recurring problems.
• Collaborate closely with development, operations, and QA teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration.

Responsibilities:

• Support the setup and management of SDN and software-defined data center (SDDC) components using VMware tools and private cloud technologies.
• Contribute to documentation of infrastructure designs, implementation procedures, and runbooks.
• Implement configuration management routines using Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools to ensure consistent environments.
• Support the integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software into the infrastructure, ensuring security and performance requirements are met.
• Assist in enforcing access controls, vulnerability mitigation, and monitoring as part of NATO-aligned SecDevOps practices.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and technical working groups to support ongoing improvements and standardization.
