Job Title: DevOps Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure & Deployment (Paid)

Primary Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management (40%)

- Design and implement multi-cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud

- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for reproducible deployments

- Configure and manage cloud resources including compute, storage, networking, and security services

- Implement cost optimization strategies across multiple cloud providers

- Design high-availability and disaster recovery architectures for critical trading systems

Client Deployment & Automation (35%)

- Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines for individual client environments

- Create client-specific infrastructure configurations while maintaining standardization

- Build self-service deployment tools and documentation for client onboarding

- Implement configuration management using Ansible for consistent environment setup

- Manage secrets and credentials securely across multiple client deployments

- Automate client environment provisioning, scaling, and teardown processes

Container Orchestration & CI/CD (20%)

- Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud providers

- Build Docker containerization strategies for microservices and trading applications

- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment

- Monitor and optimize container performance and resource utilization

- Manage service mesh and networking configurations for distributed systems

- Implement blue-green and canary deployment strategies

Monitoring & Operations (5%)

- Build comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems for infrastructure and applications

- Develop operational runbooks and incident response procedures

- Implement log aggregation and analysis pipelines

- Create dashboards for infrastructure health and performance metrics

- Troubleshoot production issues across cloud environments and client deployments

Key Technical Challenges

- Multi-Cloud Complexity: Manage consistent infrastructure across AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud

- Client Isolation: Ensure secure, isolated deployments for multiple clients while maintaining operational efficiency

- High Availability: Design resilient systems for 24/7 trading operations with minimal downtime

- Scalability: Support rapid scaling of infrastructure to handle varying trading loads

- Security: Implement robust security controls across multiple cloud providers and client environments

- Cost Optimization: Balance performance requirements with cost efficiency across diverse cloud platforms

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:

- 3+ years of professional DevOps/SRE experience

- Strong proficiency with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code

- Extensive experience with at least two major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba Cloud)

- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration

- Proficiency with Docker for containerization

- Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python

- Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools

- Understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)

- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)

Infrastructure & Operations:

- Experience designing and managing production cloud infrastructure

- Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments

- Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems issues

- Experience with infrastructure automation and self-service tooling

- Knowledge of secrets management and security best practices

- Understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Software Engineering:

- Ability to write clean, maintainable infrastructure code

- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

- Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environment

- Self-directed with excellent documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure for financial or trading systems

- Knowledge of digital assets, cryptocurrency, or blockchain infrastructure

- Proficiency in C++ or Rust programming languages

- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)

- Background in security engineering or DevSecOps practices

- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.)

- Experience with multi-region and multi-cloud disaster recovery strategies

- Knowledge of database administration and optimization (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.)

- Previous work on high-frequency or low-latency trading infrastructure

- Contributions to open-source infrastructure or DevOps projects
