In terms of industry verticals, we are focused on EdTech, Fintech, eCommerce, and Pharma.
We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join the team on a full-time, 3-month assignment. The ideal candidate has strong product-oriented testing experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to validate complex systems from an end-user perspective.
We are building a digital portal designed to streamline and modernize the Medicaid application process. The platform will support multiple types of applications and allow both individual applicants and organizations, such as lawyers, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, to submit applications on behalf of others.
By transitioning the process online, the system aims to reduce government response times from 45 days to just 24 hours, significantly improving efficiency, accessibility, and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Validate product features from an end-user perspective, ensuring usability, accessibility, and functional accuracy
- Design, document, and execute manual test cases for web applications
- Perform API testing using Postman and Swagger, validating request/response payloads and integration points
- Write and execute SQL queries to verify data correctness and support backend troubleshooting
- Collaborate with product and development teams to maintain accurate product documentation and test coverage
- Work closely with developers throughout the build cycle to confirm requirements and identify edge cases early
- Identify, log, prioritize, and track defects; provide structured bug reports with clear reproduction steps
- Proactively suggest improvements to QA processes, testing efficiency, and overall product quality
- 3–4 years of experience in manual QA or software testing, preferably within product-focused teams
- Strong understanding of Client–Server Architecture, HTTP methods, request/response cycles, and status codes
- Hands-on experience with Postman (collections, scripts, automation) and familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases and validating backend data
- Experience with test case management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems such as Jira or YouTrack
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile development processes
- Ability to create and maintain clear product documentation, including feature flows and edge cases
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate issues clearly and work effectively across teams
- Product-oriented mindset with attention to detail and user experience
