Our client is seeking an experienced Connex Payments Engineer to develop and enhance a large-scale payments environment within a regulated enterprise. This role will focus on the configuration, integration, and support of Connex Payments platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across critical payment services.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5 years' experience developing FIS Connex or similar EFT/switching platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 8583, EMV, and card payment transaction flows.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and system administration.
• Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, VPN).
• Familiarity with ATM/POS terminal protocols and host interfaces.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in financial services, banking, or payment processing environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of other switching platforms (e.g., ACI Base24, Postilion, Way4).
• Experience with fault-tolerant architecture
• Exposure to API integration, microservices, or message queues.
• Understanding of card issuing/acquiring systems.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
