We are looking for a pragmatic Fleet Operator Intern who is eager to work close to real-world operations and take ownership of the performance of Octave’s energy assets. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of monitoring, incident response, and technical operations, contributing directly to the reliability of our battery systems, PV installations, and EV infrastructure. The position is well suited to someone hands-on, proactive, and comfortable switching between operational follow-up, data analysis, and technical configuration in a fast-moving scale-up environment.

Your Role

• Monitor the performance and availability of Octave’s fleet (Battery systems, PV installations, EV stations) using internal tools and dashboards
• Follow up on alerts and incidents, provide first-line support, and escalate complex issues when needed
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis related to failures, incidents, and overall Energy Management System (EMS) performance
• Provision and prepare controllers (Edgeboxes) for EMS deployment
• Perform software and firmware updates on battery systems
• Support the commissioning of new sites, including EMS configuration and validation

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
• Proactive mindset
• A minimum duration for the internship of 3 months

Bonus Points For

• Interest in energy systems, energy management, or cleantech
• Experience or coursework in Python and/or SQL
• Affinity with Linux system administration and IT networking concepts.
