Threod Systems is a leading Provider of Battle-Tested Military Technology Solutions. We are a world-class technology and engineering company that designs and manufactures market-leading Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Electro-Optical Systems and Aircraft Launching Systems for critical defence missions, governmental and commercial applications.

We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the development of a new, canister launched aircraft platform. In this role, you will contribute to system design from initial concept through full architecture development. You will work across a broad range of aircraft electronics – from power systems to sensors and communication between subsystems.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Design and develop power supply systems
  • Integrate sensors and other electronic hardware into the platform
  • Create electronic schematics and design PCBs (Altium, KiCad, or similar)
  • Prepare and create specifications and technical documentation to support manufacturing and validation

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Education & Experience
  • Degree in a relevant technical field
  • Previous engineering experience in electronics, product development, automation, mechatronics, etc.
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals (circuits, signal flow, power management).
  • Familiarity with sensors, microcontrollers and embedded hardware.
  • Knowledge of power supply systems and their integration.
  • Experience with PCB design tools and version control systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and validate electronic systems.
  • Clear technical documentation and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of existing military standards
  • Interest or experience in aviation or defense industry
  • Personal Qualities
  • Proactive, hands-on and able to take initiative in uncertain or evolving technical areas.
  • Strong analytical mindset with structured problem-solving approach.
  • Collaborative team player who also thrives independently.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • A rare opportunity to join a new defense development program from the ground up – with real influence over architecture and design decisions.
  • High-impact engineering work that will be deployed in the field, operating in mission-critical environments.
  • Strong technical ownership, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the chance to work on both early prototypes and fielded systems.
  • A culture that values initiative, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Wellness benefits (Confido health insurance or Stebby) and a day off during your birthday week.
