SMT Fund Services (Ireland) Limited provides fund administration services to a wide variety of investment products covering all alternative and regulated products. Our service covers all the constituent parts required to independently produce a fund’s dealing or indicative net asset value (NAV) on a monthly, weekly or daily basis.


Department

The Technology Services & Operations Team provide end user support to users across all sites (Ireland, UK and Japan). The team is responsible for SMT’s Network & infrastructure, DR and Business continuity and out of hours support. All system releases and test environments are also managed by the team.

Role Overview

The TSO Engineer is responsible for the support and maintenance of the SMT software application environments. This role is pivotal in the delivery of projects, changes and improvements. The TSO Engineer provides escalation and application solutions deployment as well as technical operations. Assistance in deployments to SMT core systems while actively resolving any incidents and requests in the production environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan, build, configure, test, and deploy software technology solutions from SMT roadmap.
  • Concentrate on the application delivery strategies and implementation goals based on roadmap.
  • Maintain critical business systems.
  • Deal with escalated problems in a timely manner.
  • Work with vendors on escalated items till conclusion. Investigating issues that arise in environments
  • Knowledge and experience in Move IT, Right fax, Comm vault, multi-vendor application installation a distinct advantage.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team player with clear communication skills and knowledge transfer capability, and the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Provide support and maintenance of existing and new solutions including performance monitoring, technical support and platform management.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with the TSO Team Service Level Agreement
  • Liaise with the planning development and release teams.
  • Ensure all procedures are fully maintained and continuously enhanced.
  • Occasionally working outside of core work hours to perform critical maintenance/upgrade tasks on core systems.


Essential Key Requirements

  • Experience of application installation in a Microsoft environment.
  • Must be able to adapt to a changing technology landscape and learn new systems and tools, etc. as required.
  • Experience in liaising with cross functional teams and third-party vendors in providing installation and support for new software.


Desirable Key Requirements

  • Windows server 2016, 2019.
  • Multi-Vendor Software install experience.
  • ITIL certification
  • MCSE/MCSA.
