As a Solution Architect, you’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in Milan. You will play a key role in designing and implementing complex and large-scale systems, with a primary focus on digital payment solutions.
About Your Future Role
In this position, you will:
- Design distributed and scalable architectural solutions for the digital payments sector, using cloud-native microservices architectures to ensure high performance, resilience, and security.
- Define key non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with the Digital Architecture team to drive the technological evolution of Digital and corporate products and services.
- Support the migration of existing systems to cloud technologies to optimize processes and system scalability.
- Ensure solutions follow best practices in Security and DevOps to enhance the application lifecycle and deployment process automation.
- Work closely with technical (security and infrastructure) and business teams to ensure solutions meet business and market requirements.

Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Solution Architect with experience in designing complex, large-scale distributed systems across multiple data centers.
- Good knowledge of cloud technologies
- Advanced skills in designing cloud-native microservices architectures, with knowledge of container solutions and orchestration.
- Familiarity with system integration using middleware, API gateways, message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and service meshes (e.g., Istio).
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies (CI/CD, containerization, automation).
- Knowledge of key application monitoring platforms and concepts (logging, application monitoring, active/passive monitoring, probing, traceability).
- Solid foundation in information security, including knowledge of encryption algorithms, authentication, and authorization (e.g., OAuth, SAML, JWT, TLS).
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
- Proactive approach to solving complex technical problems.
- Strategic vision to identify and adopt emerging technologies.
- Proven experience with the digital world and ability to design innovative solutions in this domain like Mobile Wallets or digital onboarding solutions.
- Prior experience with electronic payment systems and knowledge of credit card networks and schemes (Visa, Mastercard, etc..)
- Knowledge of the Financial Sector and Regulations:
- Digital payments: Real-time transaction systems, contactless payments, QR codes, etc.
- PSD2/Open Banking: Knowledge of banking data access standards and APIs.
- Compliance: Industry-specific regulations (AML, KYC, GDPR).
- Payment security standards (e.g., PCI DSS, PSD2).
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert and AKS).
