How You Will Spend Your Time

As a Data Analyst you will be expected to:

• Work with business stakeholders to understand and document their data requirements
• Explore and profile data and develop analytics use cases
• Work collaboratively with our Data Engineers to understand underlying data assets and co-build business centric and reusable assets to fulfil analytical needs
• Perform data quality activities for any newly developed or updated reports, dashboards and outputs, checking for completeness and integrity against established processes
• Execute analytics work packages from across a range of business units, from strategic ideation through to data build, execution, and measurement

What You Will Bring

• Appropriate industry experience/qualifications in data analytics/insights
• Ability to take requirements from non-technical business stakeholders and translate these into clear analytics outcomes
• Experience building datasets to support self-service visualisation tools (Power BI)
• Extensive experience using relational databases and analytic tools such as SQL, R or Python to extract meaning from complex data
• A disciplined approach to curating and maintaining business facing data assets with long term usability
  
  

Essential

• Practical experience and can demonstrable this in the discovery, exploration and analysis of large and complex data sets, preferably including financial services data and banking products
• Practical knowledge of data preparation, transformation and modelling techniques
• Experience working with cloud-based analytics platforms
• Experience working with technical and business stakeholders to develop data requirements
• Ability to simplify the complex and confidently present insights back to the business
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Exposure to the Growth and Marketing space and Marketing Technologies (Martech) that integrate customer data
  
  

Desirable

• Previous work experience with the Databricks platform (highly desirable)
• Exposure to Data Vault or other similar data modelling
• Experience working cross-functionally with data engineering and modelling teams
• Exposure to the Growth and Marketing space and Marketing Technologies (Martech) that integrate customer data
