Our Client is a dynamic and growing financial services provider, working closely with emerging and mid-market fund managers to deliver comprehensive accounting and tax reporting solutions.
They’re seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Tax to lead and oversee their tax advisory and compliance function. This is a key role within the senior leadership team, contributing to the management plan and working closely with the Head of Operations to ensure compliance, strategic tax planning, and team development.
Your areas of responsibility:
- Prepare, review, and file corporate tax (CIT, MBT, NWT) and VAT returns for commercial companies, SOPARFIs, and funds.
- Prepare and oversee FATCA/CRS filings, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate and support internal and external tax audits, maintaining documentation and responding to tax authorities.
- Develop and implement tax strategies and advise management on the impact of new tax laws and regulations.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend tax-efficient practices for clients.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior tax staff, supporting professional development.
- Collaborate with accounting teams, analyzing financial data for tax implications and reporting accuracy.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the tax function.
- Document workflows, escalation paths, and reporting procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Your profile:
- 8–10+ years of relevant experience in tax compliance and advisory, ideally with exposure to Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) and Private Equity.
- University degree in Fiscal Law, Tax, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualification and membership with the Ordre des Experts-Comptables (OEC) required.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex tax portfolios.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience working in international, multicultural environments.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and planning skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments.
- Fluency in English and French required; additional languages advantageous.
- Proficiency in accounting and reporting tools including Bob 50, Admin Consult, Fiscalyse, Excel.
