The role

The NPPE Omnichannel Strategic Design Manager will drive brand design strategy and design thinking for Purina Europe. Leading strategic design initiatives and design thinking within the organization, in relations to any field where design might be relevant. In particular in brand building, innovation/renovation, in shopper experience (online and offline), in the consumer digital journey.

This person will be in charge of defining the best partners/service set up and ensuring we have effective design agency relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide functional expert support and design project leadership to affect design objectives and strategy, quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and market competitiveness. Partner with brand team to create design strategies and translate them into effective design briefs to ensure design meets business objectives. Directs design projects from conception through design intent frozen, working with external or internal design resources and internal functions.
  • Support design strategy for (but not limited to): Packaging/Display Unit Design, Visual brand identities, Conceptual Design & Research Stimuli, POS/Merchandising Displays/PDMs, Print, Collateral/Coupons, Digital Asset.
  • Provides Project Leadership to affect design objectives and strategy, quality, efficiency and market competitiveness.
  • Supports Marketing and Business managers in effectively applying Nestlé Ways of Working to visual communications.
  • Supports the development of the company/brand image in line with stated ambition.
  • Establishes and maintains strong productive and collaborative partnerships with strategic design agencies and adaptation agencies to ensure Nestlé receives high quality service and consumer-driven, business-building design that is breakthrough yet delivered efficiently, 100 % aligned with Nestlé communication principles.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years’ experience in design or consumer marketing at Nestlé with training or deep experience in design or equivalent FMCG.
  • 8+ years design agency experience in account management, strategic planning, and/or project management.
  • Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, managing agency relationships, and deep experience managing packaging design projects from brief development through to print execution.
  • Experience in the digital environment (UX/UI or digital shelf) is a plus.
