At CORUS we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team in an international insurance project.


Location: Remote from Spain or hybrid if you live in Barcelona.


We are seeking a proactive Senior Project Manager to lead complex regional and global projects, or similar initiatives within broader programs. This role is centered on ensuring project objectives are clearly defined and met, and that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope, all while following a structured project management approach. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills, with strong English proficiency.


Key responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee various regional or global projects and workstreams.
  • Apply appropriate processes and delivery approaches in line with the program management framework, for project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and control.
  • Develop project and workstream plans, ensuring all activities are identified, appropriately organized and resourced, and comply with the organization's project and program management framework to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, ensure timely delivery of milestones and adapt plans as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating matters where appropriate.
  • Ensure consistent application of project methodology and best practices.
  • Prepare project documentation, including detailed status reports and review presentations for senior management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Business, and other relevant functions.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of milestones and deliverables.
  • Engage with other project managers to share best practices and learnings and coach junior project managers.


Skills

  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work in a complex organisation and communicate with stakeholders of different seniority levels, backgrounds and locations.
  • Quick to learn and adapt in new environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Advanced analytical and synthesis skills for problem escalation and reporting.
  • Ability to evaluate and anticipate risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Capable of working independently, proactively, and in an organized manner.
  • Comfortable handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.


Experience and education

  • University level education or equivalent.
  • More than 5 years of experience leading projects, with proven success in global and regional complex initiatives.
  • Preferred background in insurance companies or similar industries.
  • Experience supervising junior colleagues.
  • Certifications in project management are highly valued.
