Railway Technical Project Manager - Rolling Stock (m/w/d)

Tasks

Key Responsibilities



  • Manage and oversee technical projects across the entire lifecycle, from concept through delivery and validation.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, and procurement.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant rail industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications.

  • Act as a technical interface with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Monitor budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure efficient project execution.

  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, status reports, and presentations for management and customers.

  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.


Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Proven track record in technical project management in the rail or transportation industry is required.

  • Strong understanding of complex technical systems and integration processes.

  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Excellent communication skills in German and English; additional languages are an advantage.

  • Structured, solution-oriented, and proactive working style with strong leadership qualities.
