About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our remote team. This role primarily focuses on backend development and product engineering, with optional responsibilities in frontend development. As part of our engineering team, you will collaborate closely with product managers and fellow engineers to develop, enhance, and maintain our core web APIs and data applications. Your work will directly influence the company's growth trajectory by enabling seamless access to financial data through scalable, high-performance APIs. Qualifications
- Proficiency in modern Python programming language
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience designing, implementing, or integrating web APIs (REST, GraphQL, RPC)
- Experience working in collaborative engineering and product teams
- Strong understanding of web development best practices and API performance optimization
- Degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to develop robust web backend systems and APIs for our core financial data products
- Design, implement, and refine new product features and enhancements based on user needs and market trends
- Maintain and improve existing web applications and data pipelines to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Optimize API performance and enhance developer experience through documentation and tooling improvements
- Contribute to engineering workflows, including testing, deployment, release management, QA, and documentation processes
- Participate in code reviews and collaborative development practices to uphold high-quality standards
