Estimated Salary: $117,280–$168,600 annually

The Opportunity

A leading institutional investor within the insurance and risk management sector is seeking a Senior Investment Operations Analyst to support the growth and execution of a diverse, externally managed investment portfolio. This role plays a critical part in manager onboarding, capital activity oversight, cash forecasting, and operational excellence across public and private asset classes.

You’ll work closely with internal investment teams, external managers, custodians, administrators, and service providers in a highly collaborative, detail-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

External Manager Onboarding & Lifecycle Support

  • Lead operational onboarding of external investment managers across separate accounts and pooled vehicles (mutual funds, CITs, hedge funds, private funds)
  • Coordinate account setup, subscriptions, KYC documentation, and funding mechanics
  • Serve as a primary liaison with external managers, custodians, administrators, and transfer agents
  • Lead internal onboarding meetings, track deliverables, and provide proactive status updates
  • Support ongoing maintenance activities including KYC updates, authorized signers, and documentation
  • Assist with operational due diligence reviews

Cash Forecasting & Reconciliation

  • Support daily cash forecasting and reconciliation across internal and external portfolios
  • Integrate investment activity with operational cash flows to produce accurate forecasts
  • Drive enhancements through automation, data integration, and strengthened controls

Capital Activity Oversight

  • Support capital calls and distributions for private market investments
  • Coordinate transaction execution with external service providers
  • Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of private investments within internal systems

Reporting & Controls

  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly management reporting
  • Maintain and enhance operational procedures and internal controls
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects

What You Bring

  • 5–10 years of investment operations experience supporting multi-asset portfolios
  • Strong hands-on experience with private market investments, including capital calls and distributions
  • Deep understanding of investment vehicles, account structures, and transaction processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Collaborative mindset with comfort working in a small, dynamic team
