Senior Back-End Developer (PHP/Laravel) AWS – Leeds/Hybrid

I’m supporting a growing tech team who are looking for a Senior Back-End Developer with deep experience in Laravel and strong hands-on exposure to AWS.

This isn’t a generic PHP role, they need someone who is fully embedded in the modern Laravel ecosystem, understands best practices, and has experience delivering enterprise-scale applications in production.

What they’re looking for:

• Strong senior-level experience with Laravel (using modern features, tooling and architecture patterns)
• Proven track record building and maintaining enterprise Laravel applications
• Solid understanding of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.) and how to run Laravel at scale in the cloud
• Strong API design skills, clean architecture mindset, and a focus on testing and security
• Someone who can collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, and contribute to architectural decisions

Tech you’ll be working with:

• PHP 8+ / Laravel
• AWS
• RESTful APIs, queues, caching, CI/CD
• React or TypeScript exposure is a bonus
• Docker, Terraform or infrastructure-as-code experience helpful
