Job Description

  • Distill conversations with users into actionable Epics and User Stories and groom technical implementation with engineers.
  • Be the single source of truth for technical delivery and estimates
  • Recommend priorities to features and enhancements based on subject matter expertise
  • Work with technology and infrastructure architect and technical engineering counterparts to understand the risks, benefits, and tradeoffs to technical decisions relating to data consumption.
  • Protect engineering time and backlog with thoughtful prioritization
  • Prepare and route non-standard intake requests to Product and Engineering Leads for product decisioning

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years relevant experience.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence.
  • Product Management experience
  • Expert at Jira’s JQL, Excel, Power BI.
  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • Understanding of tenancy models, especially for Azure and GCS.

Desired

  • Ability to work autonomously as a lead within a specialized Data Platform business management function and provide work direction, seasoned specialized knowledge, advice and guidance to various stakeholders and team members.
  • Confidence and ability to oversee and work independently on a variety of complex initiatives end-to-end (primarily on short- to medium- term issues (6-12 months) requiring specialist knowledge and/or the integration of cross-functional processes (within your own area of expertise).
  • Thought leadership and/or industry knowledge specific (but not limited to) your own area of expertise.
  • Willingness and strength in providing guidance and influencing multiple teams across a broad spectrum of initiatives and functional domains.
  • Basic Firewalls and Networking concepts such as awareness that TCP, HTTP...etc.

Education:


  • Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
