Essential Job Functions:
Recruitment fraud is a scheme in which fictitious job opportunities are offered to job seekers typically through online services, such as false websites, or through unsolicited emails claiming to be from the company. These emails may request recipients to provide personal information or to make payments as part of their illegitimate recruiting process. DXC does not make offers of employment via social media networks and DXC never asks for any money or payments from applicants at any point in the recruitment process, nor ask a job seeker to purchase IT or other equipment on our behalf. Essential Job Functions:
- Participate in software development projects by writing, testing, and debugging code, under the guidance of more experienced team members.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project objectives and meet deadlines.
- Contribute to the documentation of software requirements and specifications.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, seeking guidance from senior team members.
- Support the implementation of emerging technologies and best practices.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Actively learn from and assist more experienced team members.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Relevant experience, typically 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience
- Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
- Basic understanding of coding and debugging
- Willingness to learn and grow in the field
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities Other Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
- Relevant certifications or training a plus
