Co-Development Business Unit is looking for Low Code Engineer / Data Engineer

This is a fixed term contract. The engagement is 24 months

What will you do?

  • Perform the role of AI engineer to architect and deploy state-of-the-art AI models that transform how BCA creates, processes, and retrieves information. The role will work at the intersection of large language models, data processing, and business automation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. This includes finetuning AI/ML models for BCA's strategic use cases, including grants processing, building inspection report assessment, and fraud detection
  • Design and implement AI solutions that align with business requirements and use cases
  • Develop and optimise AI models for text processing, image understanding, and data analysis
  • Fine-tune and deploy foundation models while ensuring responsible AI practices and ethical considerations
  • Create and maintain prompt engineering frameworks and evaluation metrics
  • Build robust AI pipelines that integrate with existing systems and workflows
  • Conduct experiments to improve model performance, efficiency, and output quality
  • Implement safeguards and controls for AI-generated content
  • Stay current with rapid developments in generative AI and implement emerging best practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven process automation/redesign
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore Government security and data governance standards
  • Document workflows and maintain reproducibility of AI pipelines

Requirements

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related fields; advanced degree is a plus
  • Strong programming skill in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go (Golang)
  • Experience in modern AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face)
  • Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., Langchain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI)
  • Strong understanding of: Vector databases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, Agentic AI
  • Experience with AI deployment platforms and MLOps practices (AWS bedrock, Azure AI foundry, GCP Vertex AI, Databricks Mosaic AI, GovTech-approved environments preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with application building with large language models both hosted locally or via API (e.g., GPT, Gemini, LlaMA, Claude)
  • Understanding of transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, and prompt engineering
  • Experience with model fine-tuning, few-shot learning, and prompt optimization
  • Understanding of data privacy and security compliance in Singapore
  • Knowledge of responsible AI principles and ethical considerations
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work in agile teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
  • Prior experience with Singapore government/public sector AI projects or building and construction sector AI projects is preferred
