1. Operational Technology Oversight

• Manage the full lifecycle of automated STS and RTG crane systems, Gate systems, OCRs, IoT devices, traffic management systems, and other smart-port Technologies.
• Conduct routine performance assessments to identify reliability, efficiency, and safety improvement opportunities.
• Ensure all OT systems are effectively integrated into day-to-day port operations with minimal disruption.

2. Technical Leadership

• Act as the primary technical expert for all OT systems, providing guidance on configuration, capabilities, and operational best practices.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, operating procedures, and maintenance guidelines for all OT/smart-port technologies.
• Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting to reduce downtime and maintain high equipment availability.
• Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies related to Smart ports, automation and equipment digitization.

3. Project Delivery and Integration

• Lead implementation, upgrade, expansion, and integration projects related to All OT systems.
• Work closely with Engineering, IT, Operations, Cybersecurity, and vendors to design and deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency and safety.
• Oversee project schedules, risk mitigation plans, acceptance testing, and stakeholder reporting.

4. Data & Performance Analytics

• Analyze data streams from automated cranes, gate systems, sensors, and IoT devices to drive performance optimization and predictive maintenance.
• Support the development of dashboards & Digital Twin, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to monitor equipment uptime, throughput, and operational efficiency.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic and tactical decision-making.

5. Training & Capability Building

• Deliver structured training programs for operations, maintenance, and technical teams on automation systems and smart-port technologies.
• Prepare training materials, user manuals, and quick-reference guides.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and safe use of automated equipment.

6. Compliance, Safety & Standards

• Ensure all OT systems comply with manufacturer specifications, international port automation standards, and internal safety and cybersecurity policies.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols for working within automated crane zones, automated gates, and other high-risk areas.
• Support safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments concerning OT systems.

7. Coordination, Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Work closely with equipment manufacturers, integrators, support partners, and service providers to ensure timely maintenance, patches, and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with the OT Cybersecurity team to address and close all identified vulnerabilities across OT systems.
• Provide regular updates and performance reports to the Port Technology Director.

Serve as the central link between operational teams and technology teams to ensure alignment between business needs and OT capabilities.
